Can you return a book on its due date?
Yes. It was your responsibility to know the operating hours of the library when you checked out the book. Once close of business on the due date occurs, you are late returning the book and should pay the fine for doing so. Whether or not it is still the same calendar day when you drop the book in the box is irrelevant.
Can I return a library book?
