Can you borrow books from the Queens Library?
Queens Public Library cardholders may borrow materials free from the Central Library or any of the community libraries. My Account is an online service which allows customers to access their library account information via the web 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
How do you use Queens Library?
Log in to the app using your Queen’s username and password. Students and staff are also welcome to visit Special Collections in the McClay Library but please visit their webpages as it is now on an appointment only basis and material must be pre-ordered.

What happens when you lose a library book?
Replace Lost Materials – Borrowers may opt to replace lost materials rather than pay replacement fees. Replacement of material is subject to library staff approval. Processing, overdue and rebinding fees may apply if replacement material is accepted.
Can University of Ulster students use Queen’s University library?
Both Ulster and QUB are participating in the scheme. However, under the scheme, QUB Library will only allow access to academic staff and postgraduate research students. Further details on the scheme are available from the Library’s Sconul Access page.
Why do library cards expire?
According to the “Circulation and Library Card” policy, “Library cards expire regularly to confirm address and other contact information.” We expire cards so that we may periodically check with patrons to assure we have updated information.

Where can I return my library books in Queens?
CDs, DVDs, and video games can be returned to any Queens Public Library location. (The customer is responsible for the return of materials in good condition. If any items are lost or damaged, the full cost will be charged to the borrower.

And that’s just talking about books – most public libraries also offer access to DVDs, BluRays, CDs, magazines, audiobooks, video games, and digital downloads, and that’s not even factoring in a library’s public programming or databases and online resources.
Can a non resident get a NYC library card?
Non-residents may be issued a visitor’s library card on-site,with a three month expiration date. In order to qualify for a three month visitor account applicants must present photo id and proof of address (i.e. passport and utility bill) for their locality.
Can I use Queens Library card in Manhattan?
You can use your IDNYC card at any public library in New York City. It can be easily integrated with your account at the New York, Brooklyn, and Queens Public Library Systems, and it is the only card that is accepted across all three.
